The best comedies on New Year’s Eve

On New Year’s Eve, viewers in every country can watch their favourite films. For example, in Russia, which has inherited the traditions of the Soviet Union in this regard, in addition to the wonderful film ‘The Irony of Fate’, one can also watch a wonderful comedy by the well-known Soviet director Leonid Gaiday from 1973 entitled ‘Иван Васильевич меняет профессию’, which translated from Russian into Polish means ‘Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession’. The action of the film begins in the present time (in the 20th century), introducing the main character Shurik – the inventor of a time machine, which, when activated, takes the characters of the film to the 16th century, to the chambers of the palace of the Tsar of Russia – Ivan the Terrible, while the Tsar of Russia – Ivan the Terrible, ends up in modern times. By accident, the time machine is damaged and it is only up to Shurik to determine the fate of all the characters – both those in the 16th century and the Tsar of Russia, who has moved so many years into the future. The film has made and continues to make generations of TV viewers laugh from the very beginning. Highly recommended!
